Energy and Climate Community Outreach Director
Acadia Center is engaged in an expanded effort to communicate and message positive approaches to developing a clean energy economy, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and benefiting consumers and communities. Central to this project will be outreach to explain and raise awareness of ways that the state, region, individuals and towns can support and adopt solutions for a better future. To advance these efforts, Acadia Center is seeking a dynamic, full-time advocate to conduct a broad-ranging speaking and outreach effort to raise awareness and support implementation of clean energy policy initiatives. The core resources for this work are Acadia Center’s comprehensive EnergyVision (2014) and UtilityVision (2015) frameworks.

Policy Advocate -Massachusetts
Acadia Center is seeking a Policy Advocate in Massachusetts to play a leadership role advancing the organization’s efforts to promote and implement energy and climate policy reforms focusing on, clean energy, utility and power grid policy and energy efficiency. The position is expected to include activities such as representing Acadia Center with senior elected and policy officials and in policy forums; develop policy positions and responses to external proposals; drafting public comments, educational documents and filings; working with partner organizations and building coalitions; and communicating policy issues with media.

Policy Advocate -Maine
Acadia Center is seeking an experienced Policy Advocate to join our team working in Maine. The Policy Advocate will have a core role advancing Acadia Center’s efforts to promote and implement energy and climate policy reforms focusing on energy efficiency, clean energy, utility and power grid policy reforms in Maine and regional forums. The position is expected to include activities such as representing Acadia Center in state regulatory proceedings and state and regional policy forums; drafting public comments, educational documents and filings; working with partner organizations and building coalitions; and communicating policy issues with media. A significant part of this position will be focused on Acadia Center’s community energy initiative by interacting with other organizations and network building for policy reforms and community energy projects.
