Elizabeth Carroll

Elizabeth Bennett Carroll worked for close to 20 years with businesses, real estate developers and government agencies on the design, implementation and evaluation of various environmental initiatives. Much of her work focused on urban land use policies, particularly the environmentally sustainable redevelopment of brownfields sites, and several green building and clean energy projects. In 2002, Elizabeth co-founded BlueWave Strategies LLC, a Boston-based environmental advisory firm, where she was a Partner until the practice was sold to TRC Companies Inc. in 2010. Prior to BlueWave, Elizabeth worked as the Director of Business Development for Brownfields Recovery Corporation, a real estate development firm, and as a consultant at Eastern Research Group and Booz•Allen & Hamilton. Early in her career, she held research positions at the President’s Council on Environmental Quality and Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. Elizabeth currently teaches environmental science at The Roxbury Latin School in Boston. She holds an MEM from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, and BA in Environmental Science from the University of Virginia. In addition to her Board work at Acadia Center, Elizabeth is a Trustee of The Winsor School and President of its Alumnae Board. She lives in Wellesley, Massachusetts with her husband and three sons.
