Carrie Armbrecht

Carrie Armbrecht is Acadia Center’s Finance and Operations Director based in Acadia Center’s administrative headquarters in Rockport, Maine. She manages financial, human resource, administrative, informational technology, grants, and accounting matters.

Carrie came to Acadia Center with over 15 years of experience in the non-profit and higher education sectors. She previously handled financial matters and data management for a local consulting firm and was a Teaching Assistant and Graduate Assistant at the School of Marine Sciences at the University of Maine. She was an administrative assistant in the Graduate School of Education at Rutgers University for six years where her work included financial, departmental, and administrative support.

A Maine native, Carrie holds a BA in Psychology from Wellesley College and studied Oceanography and Marine Policy at the graduate level at the University of Maine where both her research and facilitation work focused on climate change science and its intersection with education, communication, and society.
