Nancy Benben

Nancy Benben is Director of Communications and External Engagement. Nancy oversees Acadia Center’s communications and outreach efforts to amplify the organization’s impact.

Nancy has a diverse professional background in private and public sectors, but her heart belongs to mission-driven organizations. She has led many companies in building and executing communication and brand strategies, including the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving as Vice President of Marketing and Communications. Prior to the Foundation, Nancy held leadership roles at NewAlliance Bank (now Key Bank) Hartford Public Schools, and the Hartford Courant. Nancy is a collaborative leader who believes the world needs more authentic conversation, and never underestimates the power of creating genuine dialogue. Nancy is a skilled facilitator, has led numerous planning retreats and is a certified Enneagram trainer.

Nancy graduated from Northwestern University’s School of Speech. She has continued her education through Northwestern’s Executive Studies Programs and Hartford Seminary’s Women’s Leadership Institute. She lives with her husband on Cape Cod.
