Stefan Koester is a Policy Analyst. Stefan supports Acadia Center’s data analysis team and focuses on energy efficiency and climate change issues in the Northeast region. He has a background in energy and environmental policy and has worked on carbon pricing, corporate sustainability, and issues related to the electric power sector and renewable energy at the state, regional, and federal levels.
Prior to joining the Acadia Center, Stefan worked at M.J. Bradley & Associates on state and federal energy and environmental regulatory policy. Prior to MJB&A, Stefan worked at David Gardiner and Associates in Washington, D.C. During graduate school at Tufts University, he published a number of research papers and earned a double-master’s degree in international relations from the Fletcher School and urban planning from the Department of Urban and Environmental Policy & Planning. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the College of Charleston in economics and philosophy.
