Dan Gatti, a highly experienced advocate on transportation policy, is joining Acadia Center in August 2025 as Director, Transportation Program. Dan brings over 15 years experience in the field and has worked closely with Acadia Center staff in his prior positions. Most recently he served as Director of Clean Transportation Policy at the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs where he developed the transportation strategy for the Massachusetts Clean Energy and Climate Plan for 2025/2030 and the Clean Energy and Climate Plan for 2050. Previously, Dan was Senior Transportation Analyst and Advocate at the Union of Concerned Scientists where he was lead analyst on state and regional transportation policies including establishing a climate program addressing transportation fuels. Earlier in his career he was Executive Director, Climate Xchange which he co-founded, and Get Off Oil Program Director at Environment America. Dan holds a JD cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center.
