As the Senior Policy Advocate – Connecticut, Kate works to advance Acadia Center’s regional and state energy and climate policy reforms in Connecticut. She will engage in legislative, regulatory, and agency proceedings on topics including clean energy, utility and power grid policy reforms, energy efficiency, and other climate change solutions. Kate serves as a representative of environmental organizations on the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Board, and is excited to collaborate and build coalitions with state and regional stakeholders.

Kate has several years of experience in clean energy and energy efficiency, including roles at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP). As a Project Officer at DOE, she worked with state, local, and tribal governments to develop and implement energy efficiency and clean energy projects through the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program. ​Prior to her time at DOE, Kate worked on Conservation and Load Management programs at DEEP.  Kate holds a Master of Environmental Management from the Yale School of the Environment and a B.A. In Environmental Studies from the University of Pittsburgh.
