Amara Ifeji
Climate, Equity, and Justice Fellow
Amara Ifeji is a National Geographic–recognized changemaker and environmental advocate with more than a decade of experience advancing climate justice in Maine. As Acadia Center’s Fellow in Climate, Equity, and Justice, she engages communities to shape more equitable renewable energy developments throughout the state. She is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Oxford School of Geography and the Environment, where she earned an MSc in Nature, Society, and Environmental Governance; she also holds a BA (with Honors) in Political Science from Northeastern University. In her free time, Amara enjoys reading, hiking, and traveling across Europe.
