Jayson Velazquez is a Climate and Energy Justice Policy Associate at Acadia Center, based out of Hartford. He supports the goals of Acadia Center by advancing climate, clean energy, and energy justice policy with attention to community and stakeholder engagement. Jayson is an environmental scientist who is dedicated to ensuring a Just Transition is achieved.

Prior to joining Acadia Center, Jayson worked as a Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Sustainability Initiative (JEDSI) graduate research fellow at Yale School of the Environment. At JEDSI, Jayson researched the social and environmental justice implications of food access and green infrastructure. He also serves on the board of directors for the Keney Park Sustainability Project. Jayson holds a Master of Environmental Science from Yale School of the Environment and a Bachelor of Science in Environment and Natural Resources from The Ohio State University.
