John DeVillars is an environmentalist and energy and environmental professional with substantial leadership experience in both the public and private sectors. He is currently Chairman of BlueWave Solar, a solar energy company founded on a mission to make solar available to everyone, everywhere through its Community Solar and Residential Loan products with operations in New England, South Africa, and the Caribbean. During his career, John has held several high level positions in the United States and Massachusetts governments, including New England Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Secretary of Environmental Affairs for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and Chairman of the Board of the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority. He holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and a Bachelor of Arts in U.S. History from the University of Pennsylvania.
