Mitch Tyson
Mitch, Principal at Tyson Associates, and is an experienced high tech executive and entrepreneur. He serves on a number of corporate, non-profit, and governmental boards and advises start-ups and investors. He is Chair and Co-Founder of the New England Clean Energy Council and Adjunct Professor at Brandeis International Business School, where he teaches the course on Corporate Sustainability. Mitch is on the board of Photronics, Big Belly Solar, 7AC and on advisory committees of GreenerU. In addition to the Acadia Center board he is a board member of the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, New England Israel Business Council, Greentown Labs, Venture Café Foundation, and is a Co-Chair of the Massachusetts’s Advanced Manufacturing Collaborative. Mitch is also a member of the Clean Energy Venture Group, which provides seed capital and management expertise to early stage clean energy companies. In 2008 he was named a Mass High Tech All-Star for his leadership in the clean energy sector. Mitch was previously CEO of PRI Automation, a $300M publically traded semiconductor automation company, and CEO of Advanced Electron Beams, a VC-backed clean energy company. Earlier he was energy and science advisor to US Senator Paul Tsongas. He has a BS in Physics, an MS in Nuclear Engineering, and an MS in Political Science, all from MIT.
