
Will Taylor
Will serves as Strategy Director of Infrastructure and Resilience at Acadia Center. In this role, his focus is on tackling large-scale climate, clean energy and energy justice challenges by connecting areas that offer promise for building a cleaner and more consumer-friendly economic future. Will works to develop comprehensive approaches to connect the areas of building energy and transportation systems while addressing energy affordability, community resiliency, reductions in climate pollution and community and system infrastructure needs. To accomplish these goals, Will performs analytical work, develops research publications and materials, and engages with other Acadia Center leadership to develop strategic priorities to inform the development of regional programs.
Prior to joining Acadia Center, Will accrued experience in clean energy integration, economics, and grid resilience research as a Distributed Energy Resources (DER) Integration Strategist at EPRI. He also spent time at the Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority, where he was the lead technical staff on programs related to energy storage, residential solar, and commercial solar. Will holds a PhD in Environmental Engineering from the University of Connecticut, where his research primarily focused on forecasting storm outages on the electric grid and evaluating the effectiveness of efforts to improve electric grid resilience. He also holds a Master’s in Business Analytics and Project Management, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, also from the University of Connecticut.
