Acadia Center and Other Advocates Submit Brief to PURA in the Integrated Distribution System Planning (IDSP) Re-opener Docket
Acadia Center joined Vote Solar, Conservation Law Foundation, and Save the Sound in submitting a brief to the Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) in the "RE03" Integrated Distribution System Planning (IDSP) re-opener docket, one of the three major elements of Connecticut's Performance-Based Ratemaking (PBR) investigation. As both local distribution systems and the regional grid are poised to undergo major evolutions and build-outs in the coming decades, it is essential that regulatory bodies develop and adopt a sound, consistent framework for distribution system planning that scrutinizes projections for growing load, optimizes for contributions from distributed energy resources (DER), and gives more stakeholders the ability to influence planning processes and infrastructure outcomes.
