Acadia Center Comments on Massachusetts DPU Motion on Grid Modernization

Acadia Center submitted written comments in response to DPU 20-69 “Investigation by the Department of Public Utilities on its own Motion into the Modernization of the Electric Grid – Phase Two". Acadia Center argued for the expanded use of advanced metering infrastructure as a key tool for supporting grid modernization in the state. The DPU is interested in deploying advanced metering infrastructure for electric vehicle customers, and Acadia Center recommended that the DPU deploy advanced metering technology in such a way to deliver the greatest benefits for ratepayers and the grid. Acadia Center will continue to stay engaged on grid modernization efforts in Massachusetts.
