Acadia Center submits comments in response to NESCOE’s request for feedback on what a first RFP/solicitation would look like for the region’s Longer-Term Transmission Planning Process.
This is a massive strategic priority for us on the transmission team and it was great to be able to send our thoughts to NESCOE on this first iteration. We also signed onto Conservation Law Foundation's coalition comments in response to NESCOE's query. In our letter, we focused on topics like the importance of future-proofing any approved bids to be in line with interregional transmission/future goals and offshore wind build out, community engagement being a priority for any accepted bids, GETs/ATTs, HVDC, and more.
