Acadia Center testified in support of L.D. 395

Acadia Center testified before the Energy, Utilities and Technology Committee (EUT) in the Maine Legislature in support of LD 395, a bill to provide funding for both intervenors and participants in Maine Public Utility Commission proceedings. The bill was voted unanimous "Ought to Pass" to the Maine Legislature, which often follows the recommendation of the EUT where it casts a unanimous vote. This bill will have the effect of leveling the playing field in the PUC. Those who need financial help to have their voice heard in the PUC now can apply to receive it.
