Acadia Center recently submitted comments on energy burden and affordability in DPU Docket 24-15. The organization recommended a number of improvements to current energy policy including: 1) Utilizing a percentage-of-income payment plan approach, 2) Specifically implementing a 6% income cap, 3) Utilizing auto-enrollment for the low-income discount rate, 4) Avoiding policies that encounter the "cliff effect"
