Brief submitted to FERC on the Weymouth Compressor Station’s continued operation

Briefing submitted by Acadia Center, Conservation Law Foundation (CLF), Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), Sierra Club, and the Sustainable FERC Project recommending that concerns over environmental justice and community health safety warrant the FERC further examining its prior authorization allowing the Weymouth Compressor Station to enter into service. The brief argues that the Commission has the authority to reconsider the Station’s current operations because of changed circumstances including two unplanned emergency shutdowns and the lack of consideration of impacts on environmental justice communities.
