We believe that we are most effective when we work at both a state and regional level. In our state work in Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, New York, and Rhode Island, we are embedded in local advocacy and politics, and many of our state leads have lived and worked their whole careers in the state they represent. As a group, we also collectively have a regional perspective on the Northeast as a whole, which is key for our work that coordinates and crosses borders, including with utilities and energy and transportation infrastructure that spans several states. As an organization focused on the Northeast and with state offices, we integrate both a granular and a regional perspective.
